Membership

As the 2011-2012 school year begins make sure that you and your coaches are protected! Be aware that coaches of fall sports who have not sent in membership forms are NOT yet protected! By joining the Virginia High School Coaches Association your coaches will receive many benefits, including a $1 million liability policy.

The VHSCA is an individual membership organization primarily to support statewide coaches and athletes.  As a member of the VHSCA, you receive and contribute to the following benefits:

• Coaches receive one (1) million dollars liability insurance that also covers the time in the classroom.  In addition, it provides one (1) million dollars of protection for a defense attorney.  You are protecting your superiors, the principals and athletic directors, who are in the chain of command.  DO NOT COACH WITHOUT THE PROTECTION TODAY.

• No charge if a member has a camp and requires a certificate of insurance naming an Additional Insured on the General Liability Policy.
• No charge for Participant/Accident Coverage – $25,000 Excess Medical Limit

• Eligible for the distinguished Virginia High School Hall of Fame.
• Eligible for State and National Coach of the Year recognition.
• Provided admission to Virginia high school athletic contests.
• Provided conditioned admission to college games.   The VHSCA card is the ONLY coach’s card that can provide this benefit.
• Eligible to participate in the best awards program of any coach’s association in the United States of America.
• Eligible to nominate your athletes and coach in the annual VHSCA All Star Games. We are the only organization in the state that selects an All-State Team in every sport and recognizes them with a certificate. You must be a member of the VHSCA to participate in the All-State selection.
• We have a tremendous week during our clinic and All Star Games.  Membership allows you free admission to the All-Star games, a reduced rate at the clinic and free admission to the picnic on the Chesapeake Bay at Buckroe Beach to enjoy great music, friendship and the BEST CUISINE in the east.
• We give 8-10 scholarships each year to graduating athletes.
• We contribute an average of $3,000 – $3,500 dollars to the VHSL Foundation each year.

The VHSCA is a privately incorporated organization that provides a membership with benefits … it is not just a pass.  Being a member of the VHSCA would make you a member of the 2^nd largest coach’s organization in the country that has been and will continue to be a great organization.
